Ami Vaidya, M.D.

Ami Vaidya, M.D. is the Director of Minimally Invasive and Robotic Gynecologic Surgery for the Gynecologic Oncology Division at the John Theurer Cancer Center. She joined the cancer center in 2010, bringing a world-class education and more than seven years of gynecological oncology experience.

Dr. Vaidya received dual-certifications in gynecologic-oncology and obstetrics-gynecology.  She completed her residency at New York University followed by her fellowship at Harvard Medical School Massachusetts General. She then became the Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
 
Dr. Vaidya has been published in numerous highly-regarded journals, including International Journal of Gynecologic Oncology and Gynecologic Oncology. Her areas of focus have included uterine papillary serous carcinoma and signal transducers and activators in drug-resistant ovarian cancer. Additionally, she has presented her research at a number of medical meetings, including at the annual meeting of the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists.
