The prospect of undergoing a transplant can be daunting, and we strive to make you and your family and friends as comfortable as possible during each step of your treatment and afterwards. During an autologous (i.e., your own cells) or an allogeneic (i.e., donor cells) bone marrow transplant, a team of over 200 caregivers at JTCC provides comprehensive support for each patient throughout their recovery.
Having pioneered many of the approaches used around the world, the JTCC medical team delivers the latest and most advanced care, conducts international clinical research trials, and offers innovative treatment approaches. These therapies are offered in conjunction with our collaboration with the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Immunology Branch and increases success rates while minimizing complications such as graft versus host disease.
Prior to joining JTCC, our stem cell transplantation team has trained and practiced at many of the leading transplantation centers in the nation including the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (Seattle); MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston); John Hopkins, Memorial Sloan-Kettering (New York City), City of Hope Cancer Center (Duarte, CA), and Temple University Medical Center, Fox Chase Cancer Center and Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, (Philadelphia).
